Top-notch service, luxurious amenities and accommodations, one-of-a-kind experiences – AAA Five Diamond hotels represent the best of the best.
Every year, only a select number of properties are awarded this top distinction, meeting or exceeding the expectations of a long list of requirements and multiple on-site evaluations by inspectors.

AAA Diamond Ratings are based on thorough, unannounced evaluations of hotels in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. For a hotel to reach Five Diamond status, it must meet AAA’s world-class expectations of cleanliness, comfort and hospitality, and most importantly, display first-class service.

Already among the top states/cities with the greatest number of Five Diamond hotels, New York picked up another this year (its ninth). Of the six first-time additions, NYC’s Park Hyatt was awarded for its “ultra-refined, modernist style,” and spacious rooms, complimented by curated art and designer furnishing, fine linens, and an oversized soaking tub. Even more, the property is pet-friendly and includes a state-of-the-art fitness center and an indoor pool that overlooks the city.
Hotels that earn the Five Diamond rating are part of an exclusive group that represents just 0.4% of the nearly 28,000 AAA/CAA Approved and Diamond Rated hotels.
The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is the only hotel to maintain the Five Diamond Rating for 40 consecutive years, since 1976 when AAA first introduced the Diamond system.
